The Artane School of Music is recognised as a centre of excellence in music tuition and performance, firmly planted in an easily accessible location in north Dublin. We believe in giving every child the opportunity to learn an instrument without having to go to the expense of purchasing one.
All our tutors are professional musicians of the highest professional standards and qualifications. Many play full-time with orchestras and perform nationally and internationally on a regular basis.
Founded in 1872, the Artane Band has played for every President and Taoiseach of Ireland, three Presidents of the United States, and three Kings and Queens of the United Kingdom. They are a beloved feature of All-Ireland Sundays at Croke Park and perform at venues ranging from the National Concert Hall to small-town parades across Ireland.

Playing in an ensemble encourages teamwork and builds a positive self-image. All band rehearsals and sectional training are carried out in a highly professional manner under the guidance of some of Ireland's best-known orchestral players.
